The vibe

Larkspur Park is a St. George neighborhood park where pickleball shares striped, hard-surface tennis courts rather than a dedicated complex. Reviewers describe a clean, family-oriented spot with a well-shaded playground, two sand volleyball nets, and the lighted tennis/pickleball courts off Fort Pierce Drive. Pickleheads counts two outdoor courts here, played on the tennis surface, so it suits casual games, warm-ups, and players who would rather avoid the crowds at Little Valley or Vernon Worthen across town. Bring a portable net. Players come for early-morning sessions before the southern Utah heat, then the playground and volleyball area fill in with families later in the day.

Practical notes

Two outdoor courts on hard-surface tennis courts, shared between tennis and pickleball, per Pickleheads. The courts are lighted and free to play. Park hours run 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM most days and to 9:00 PM Sunday. Amenities include restrooms and water, plus two sand volleyball nets and a playground on site. Bring your own portable net and tape, since this is a lined tennis court rather than a dedicated pickleball build-out. Parking is at the lot near the corner of Fort Pierce Drive and Larkspur Road. One regular notes the lights work nearly all the time but windscreens and one net have been in poor repair.

Very nice park! Well shaded playground, 2 sand volleyball nets, & a tennis/pickle-ball court. Fun playset for the kids with some seating for adults to watch their kids.

Lighted courts work 98% of the time. Windscreens are in tatters. One court has a net that has lasted for several years. The city cheaped out on the other net and it broken multiple times the most recent one broke after just 4-5 weeks of use. Don’t see any cheap nets at pickleball courts.
