Quail Orchard Park is a recently-built Provo park with pickleball courts, three to four playgrounds of varying ages (toddler through older kid play structures), a shaded pavilion, walking paths, a small water feature, bathrooms, a large open field, and Wasatch mountain views. Reviewers consistently rank it among their favorite parks in Provo with high marks for the playground variety. The playgrounds have shade coverings, which is a notable feature for summer use. The pickleball courts are part of the new build.
Practical notes
Park hours are 7 AM to 11 PM daily. The bathrooms close for winter. The major constraint is parking: there's only street parking, with large sections marked no-parking, so during busy times finding a spot can be a hassle. The park sits in a residential neighborhood and parking is already a friction point with neighbors per one reviewer. Bring water for kids; the small water feature is shallow but the playgrounds are the main draw.
What locals say
"Our favorite park in Provo! Really cool slides for the kids & a variety of play structures for all ages. There's a walking path & pickleball courts too. Clean bathrooms too! (Although, they are closed for the winter)"
"What a beautiful playground! 4 separate structures, but close enough to each other you can generally keep an eye on variety of ages. Pickleball courts, bathrooms, shaded pavilion, and shades on the playground."
"HOWEVER, the reason for the low rating is that parking is terrible! Only street parking and there is a large section that is designated as no parking area"
