Six outdoor pickleball courts sit on the north side of Little Cottonwood Creek at 165 E Myrtle Avenue in Murray Park, a short walk from The Park Center recreation building. This is a dedicated, hard-surface complex with overhead lighting for evening play, shaded benches, and drinking fountains. Reviewers rate it 4.5 across more than a hundred ratings and describe a friendly, organized scene: a paddle-rack system rotates players on and off so everyone gets a turn, and the skill range runs from roughly 2.5 to 4.5. The trade-off is volume. The courts fill fast once the weather warms, and reserved blocks can tie up courts for hours.
Six outdoor courts with overhead lights that run on sensors and shut off at 11 PM. The complex is open March 1 through November 30, weather permitting. Open play runs 6 AM to noon weekdays and 6 AM to 10 PM weekends; reservable blocks fill the rest of the weekday afternoons and evenings. Reservations cost $5 for two hours for Murray residents and $10 for non-residents, must be booked at least 72 hours ahead, and are non-refundable. Expect crowds from roughly 9:30 AM to 1 PM in spring through fall. A paddle rack manages the wait line during open play.
What locals say
“Great place to play pickleball. Everyone seems to be very friendly and there is a good skill level range from 2.5 - 4.5 players. It has a paddle system, so everyone gets a turn. The only negative is it can get really busy from 9:30 AM- 1:00 PM in the late spring through late fall time.”
“Love these courts, but they are always crowded the moment the weather warms up. Recently they added a good way for people to wait in line, but often times people make reservations for courts and they are reserved for hours. Need more courts in Murray apparently!”
“Fun to play Pickleball but a lot of the times, it gets reserved so it's not my go to place to play”
