Gene Fullmer is a Salt Lake County recreation center in West Jordan, and pickleball runs indoors on its gym floor rather than on dedicated outdoor courts. The county lists three pickleball courts striped for open play, expandable to six when the gym hosts tournaments. The same gym holds basketball hoops and a volleyball court, so pickleball shares the space on a schedule. The building is better known locally for its boxing program, indoor lap and leisure pools, fitness room, and a sixteen-laps-to-a-mile indoor track. For players, the draw is climate-controlled, year-round play on a wood surface inside a full county fitness facility.
Three indoor pickleball courts run in the gym for open play, with six set up for tournaments. Lines are permanent and the courts share the gym with basketball and volleyball, so play follows the posted schedule. This is a membership facility with daily, monthly, and annual options, so expect an entry fee rather than free public access. Hours are 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM weekdays, 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Saturday, and a short 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM block Sunday. Drop-in childcare is available at $3.00 per hour. Address is 8015 South 2200 West; call (385) 468-1951 to confirm current open-play times.
