Bloomington Park sits on the south side of St. George at 650 Man O War Road, next to the Virgin River, and its pickleball courts are a working part of a large public park rather than a standalone complex. The city counts seven courts here, set among baseball fields, grass open space, a basketball court, a shaded playground, and a river-side walking and bike path. Reviewers single out the courts for being well fenced, with the surrounds built to contain errant balls. The setting is open and scenic, with mountain views and mature trees, and the courts are one of the most-used pickleball spots in town.
Seven outdoor courts, lighted, with restrooms, water, picnic areas, and plenty of parking on site. The City of St. George lists Bloomington Park among its public pickleball locations and notes that when courts are vacant the public uses them free of charge. Play is first-come, first-served, and city pickleball programs, leagues, and clinics may occupy courts at times, so check in with the attendant or instructor when one is running. Park hours run 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. For program schedules, call St. George Parks at (435) 627-4530.
What locals say
“Pickleball courts were outstanding, with fences built in such a way that contained errant balls very well.”
“There are a few pickleball courts, a primitive basketball court, a small playground for 5-12 year olds that is covered for shade during hot days.”
