Spanish Fork Sports Park is a regional sports destination on Volunteer Drive with 16 dedicated outdoor pickleball courts (added in 2018), individually fenced with permanent lines and nets, plus tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, a youth football area, outdoor workout equipment, a sports-themed playground, a riverside walking trail, and large pavilions. The city hosts three annual pickleball tournaments here: Pickle Jam Mayhem in early May, Heat Seeker during July's Fiesta Days, and Wicked Pickle in October. One of the highest-volume outdoor pickleball venues in south Utah County.

Practical notes

Park is open 24 hours per Google. Pickleball courts are first-come, first-served and free. Competitive group play runs mornings from about 6 AM to 10 AM; evening peak is 6 PM to 10 PM and skews toward families and small-group play. The Sports Park complements the Pickleball Courts at Spanish Fork FitCity Center (about 1 mile away); locals often combine the two. Spanish Fork City Parks & Rec runs Jr. Pickleball (ages 8-18) in June, a Central Utah Pickleball Association league registering in May, beginner clinics on Monday evenings in August, and six-week ladder leagues in spring and fall. Registration is through the city RecOnline system; questions at (801) 804-4500. Parking fills during festivals or tournaments. Off-leash dogs and dirt bikes on the trail are recurring nuisances per reviewers.

What locals say

"Lots of pickleball courts (often very busy). Great playground with some shade. Great walking path you can take from here that goes for miles. Feels very safe and clean. Good restrooms too."

"Good amenities for tennis, soccer, pickle ball, softball, baseball, and football for younger players. The bathroom is very decent for a public park. There is also outdoor workout equipment."

"Love the sports park. The bike path is great for jogging, riding, roller blading with the kids. Pickle ball is awesome as well."
