Pickleball lives inside a working community center, not a dedicated club. Central Park Community Center at 2797 S 200 E in South Salt Lake runs youth programs, a PAL boxing gym, and a food bank, and it folds pickleball into that same neighborhood mix. The setup is split: a pair of indoor courts share gym space, and a pair of outdoor courts sit on the grounds alongside tennis and basketball. In fall 2024 the city resurfaced the outdoor courts with a SportGame PB modular system over roughly 4,600 square feet, so the outdoor playing surface is recent. Expect a casual, public-rec feel rather than a reservation-driven facility.
Sources report four pickleball courts total, two indoor and two outdoor, with permanent lines and portable nets available. Play is free. Indoor drop-in is generally listed for Mondays and Wednesdays 7 to 9 p.m., while the outdoor courts run seasonally. The center building keeps weekday hours (roughly 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., closed weekends), so confirm indoor gym access before going. Restrooms are on site and the facility is ADA accessible. The outdoor courts share grounds with tennis and basketball, so parking and court space can be shared during busy youth-program hours.
