Patriot Park in Saratoga Springs is a sprawling community park with 8 pickleball courts integrated into a baseball-themed sports complex that includes 6 baseball diamonds, batting cages, a large central pavilion plus 4 medium and 6 small pavilions, and a playground with rare features like an old-school merry-go-round and a Nature Hunt. The park is well-maintained with shaded seating, picnic tables, paved trails, and a memorial honoring those who served. Reviewers describe it as one of Saratoga Springs' best community parks, drawing weekend tournament crowds. The city hosts its annual Splash Days Pickleball Tournament here in June, run alongside food trucks and fireworks.
Practical notes
Hours run 6 AM to 10 PM daily. Playground and pickleball courts are open year-round; baseball and softball fields are seasonal. Fields and pickleball courts are reservable for tournament or league play through the Saratoga Springs Recreation Department, but the pavilion is not available for reservations. Concessions reportedly are not consistently open, even during tournament weekends, so plan to bring food. The grounds get windy. Bathrooms are near the playground and were noted as clean.
What locals say
"An awesome playground, 6 baseball fields, 8 pickle ball courts, a batting cage, plenty of benches all around, and a large and small pavilion with picnic tables."
"One large pavillion, eight pickleball courts, six baseball diamonds and a large play area in the center. Lots of picnic tables and park benches. Only drawback is the trees are all young and don't provide a lot of shade."
"Why in the holy heavens don't they run concessions?? We've been here multiple years for baseball tournaments and not ONE TIME has concessions been open."
