Riverdale Park
Pan + zoom to spot the courts, they’re often tucked off to one side of the park.
Riverdale Park is the city's main recreation green, a full-service park at 4300 Parker Drive whose amenities run from a splash pad and two playgrounds to sand volleyball, a ball diamond, and a half-mile walking path. The pickleball here is not a dedicated complex. Players use the park's tennis courts, where pickleball lines have been added to the existing surface. That means a hard court shared with tennis and a net set at tennis height rather than the lower pickleball standard. It is a practical option for casual play in a park built around family use, with restrooms and pavilions a short walk from the courts.
Two outdoor hard courts, both dual-use tennis and pickleball with lines overlaid on the tennis surface. Play is free, with no membership or court fee. The net sits at tennis height, so bring that in mind for the kitchen-line game. Restrooms are on site, along with two large pavilions, three small pavilions, and parking shared with the splash pad and playgrounds. Expect family traffic on summer afternoons. No formal drop-in schedule is published; courts are first come, first served.
