The vibe

Sharon Park is a 5.2-acre Orem neighborhood park on the north end of the city, with 6 pickleball courts, a large playground that was redone within the past few years, a 0.42-mile walking path, a large 120-seat pavilion with BBQ braziers, restrooms, and a hill that's popular for sledding in winter. The playground includes a zip line, climbing adventure area, and a spinning play structure. Reviewers describe it as a peaceful, well-maintained spot that used to be quiet and now draws steady crowds. Dogs are welcome.

Practical notes

Park hours are 5 AM to 10 PM daily. The 6 pickleball courts are lighted until 10 PM with a 9:30 PM dimming warning. Per the city, pickleball courts are only reservable for city tournaments, not private use, so you can plan on first-come, first-served drop-in play. The pavilion is reservable through Orem. Restrooms have inconsistent hours; some reviewers say they're never open. Google Maps may direct you to a cul-de-sac; use 600 N or 500 N for proper access. Parking gets busy during peak weekends.

Very small Park pretty compact on the north side of the park with a gazebo... then the south side of the park has a bunch of picket ball or tennis court or racquetball court... 5.2 Acres / Playground / 6 Pickleball Courts / Restrooms / 1 Large Pavilion with BBQ Braziers – (Seats 120) / Walking Path – 0.42 miles

Excellent pickleball courts! Six of them there, lights are on until 10:00 p.m. they shut off at 9:30 unless somebody runs over and pushes those silver buttons on the pole

Hidden gem of a park! (Sadly it's becoming less hidden and much more busy) But we still love this one! There's a fun bike path that goes all the way around the green space and some hills for rolling or sledding... AND a zip line!
