Ira Allan Park is Mapleton's largest community park and the south Utah County destination for outdoor pickleball, with twelve courts at the park and reviewers reporting around fifteen total across the connected pickleball-only complex on the adjacent parcel. Beyond pickleball, the property includes a big-toy playground, four baseball and softball diamonds, a futsal court, large grass fields, picnic shaded benches, and a working drinking fountain. The grounds are well kept and clean. Locally famous for the Mapleton Pioneer Day fireworks every July 24th, which draws huge crowds. A pavilion is on site but seating beyond it is limited.

Practical notes

Park hours are 6 AM to 10 PM daily. The courts have a reputation for filling up quickly because the location is now a regional draw, but with twelve-plus courts open play is usually available. Bathrooms and a drinking fountain are on site near the playground. Walking paths or sidewalks circling the park are not in place, so getting steps in is awkward. Parking is plentiful most of the year but jams up severely during Pioneer Day in July. Some courts show cracks and a few nets have visible wear; one reviewer noted the courts are aging but still the best public play in Mapleton.

What locals say

"Big park with a fun big toy for kids. This park has twelve pickleball courts, a large grass field, and baseball/ softball diamonds. Bathrooms are next to the playground."

"A jewel of community engagement, and the firework show here is fantastic. So many people come here for pickleball now, the courts are pretty much full all the time because it's a high quality place."

"I love this park because there is so much room! I love pickleball, but it is often hard to find empty courts at places. I've been here many times and there has always been a court open."
