Ellison Park
Pan + zoom to spot the courts, they’re often tucked off to one side of the park.
Ellison Park is a 44-acre municipal sports complex on Layton's west side, and pickleball is one piece of a deep amenity list. Layton City counts eight pickleball courts here alongside baseball and Little League diamonds, soccer and football fields, softball fields, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, a skate park, a splash pad, and a one-mile walking trail. The eight courts are outdoor and lit for evening play, so the surface stays in use after work. With 350 parking spaces and the rest of the complex drawing youth sports traffic, this plays more like a regional park than a quiet neighborhood court.
Eight dedicated outdoor pickleball courts, free and open to the public, with lights for evening play. The park sits at 700 N 2200 W with 350 parking spaces and two restroom/concession buildings on site. Expect company: the complex also runs baseball, softball, soccer, and football fields, so weekends and weeknight game times pack the parking lots. Layton City notes dogs are not allowed in the park. No reservation system is listed, so play is first come, first served on open courts.
